WRAP 101

Our Process

Estimate.

Our first step is to get an in person look at your vehicle. We can make arrangements if this is a barrier, but it’s the only way to get an accurate estimate. We take photos and measurements, which allow us to quote and build a template for the next phase.

Design.

Second step is to discuss your brand and goals with your designer. They’ll build a scaled template that gives a good representation of the final product. This is when you’ll share any artwork or assets you may have.

Proof.

Once your deposit is paid, your designer can begin sharing artwork for review. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to give feedback or request changes to your designs. Unless you know exactly what you want, you’ll likely get 3 varied designs to begin choosing from.

Schedule.

Once the proofing phase is complete, we can put you onto the schedule with a print deposit. It typically takes two weeks to get scheduled, from date of proof approvals.

Print.

We can provide color proofs if desired, or you can trust our team of designers to choose the best options for you. All designs are printed in house, and laminated for UV protection. Printing takes about 24-48 hours.

Install.

The final phase! Make sure to clean your vehicle 24 hours in advance, not right before as water and vinyl don’t mix. During this process we break down the vehicle (remove handles if needed, lights, etc.). A full wrap can take up to 3 business days, where as decals can be finished with in a day.

FAQs

What are Wraps?

Vinyl wraps are just large flexible stickers applied to the surface of your vehicle. They can be used to change the color of a car, advertise your company, cover unsightly paint, etc.

How long will vinyl last?

Manufacturers recommend removal within four to five years. Doing so will keep the removal process smooth and maintain the quality of your paint. If you leave it on longer than suggested, you run a risk of paint damage or significant costs for removal. As time goes by the UV protection fades, leaving the material exposed to the elements, this is why timely removal is important!

Will it damage my paint?

No damages should be present so long as you remove with in the manufacturers recommendations. If your paint is already damaged, the removal of vinyl may peel off more paint. Or if you allow the vinyl to dry and crack on your vehicle, then the paint may be damaged during the removal process. Vinyl Wraps used wisely should never damage a vehicle!

Can I wrap everything?

There are complicated areas on most vehicles that just can’t or shouldn’t be wrapped. Materials like textured plastic, raw wood, chipped paint or rust prevent the glue from adhering. Areas like door jams or large round fenders frequently fail. That’s when the vinyl is stretched around an area with deep contours, and begins to pull away from the surface over time. We’ll be sure to address any difficult areas with you before any commitments are made.

What materials do you use?

At Wrap-Aholic we use top name brands with reliable reputations. For our printed graphics we have Avery Dennison wrap film, and for solid color vinyl we use Avery, 3M, and Oracal. These three brands have stood the test of time, and should be what any reputable wrap company offers. We finish printed products with Avery laminate, which gives your wrap UV protection. This ensures your vivid colors won’t quickly fade.

What kind of warranty do you have?

We only warranty Full and 3/4 Partial wraps for the first year. All other products are not warrantied with us directly, but each manufacturer has their own guidelines if something unexpected were to happen.
